The population analysis received a big update including more than 80 million hands of analyzed data (see part 2).
In part 1 of the population analysis, we're looking at data from 1 million played hands based on a regular rake structure, as you'll find it on Pokerstars, ACR, PartyPoker and similar sites. Counting all hands from the analyzed player group - regulars - they add up to 3.4 million hands we're looking at.
Most hands were played at NL500 and the rest are mostly NL1k and NL200.
The hands were mostly played in 2021. But the data can comfortably be compared to most of today's NL200, NL100 and even NL500 games.
In part 2, we're looking at data from more than 80 million hands based on a GGPoker rake structure.
These hands were played in late 2023 and 2024. They are roughly 75% NL500 and 25% NL200.
The learnings of how to adjust and exploit, however, are timeless and can be applied to any player pool.
Calculations in part 1 are based on an NL500 rake structure resembling a typical online poker site such as Pokerstars, PartyPoker, ACR or sites with similar rake structures.
Calculations in part 2 are based on an NL500 rake structure resembling the GGPoker network including preflop rake conditions.
Stacks are 100bb deep.
However, the principles covered can be applied to any stake.
